X-ray Technician Schools

X-ray technician training options can take several forms.  One year certificate, two year associate's degrees and four year bachelor's degrees are all available choices, with associate's degrees being the most common.  Most schools are accredited with the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology, or with individual states.

Coursework in the x-ray tech program includes, anatomy, physiology, radiation physics, medical terminology, radiobiology, and pathology.  Becoming a registered radiographer through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is also a desirable credential.
