According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment opportunities for a person trained as a radiology technician are expected to grow faster than the average occupation. This is largely because the elderly population continues to grow and, as such, so will the need for radiation treatments. The Bureau reports that the median annual salary or a radiology technician in 2004 was $57,700.
