An auto body specialist generally works on all types of vehicles, including buses, trucks, and tractor-trailers.  For the most part, however, they work on small trucks and cars.   Regardless of the type of vehicle, the auto body specialist must be able to make a variety of different types of repairs to the body of the vehicle. 

This may include removing dents, straightening parts of the body that have become bent, and replacing parts that have been damaged.  In more severe cases, the specialist might need to realign the frame of the vehicle.  This process must be completed carefully because the vehicle will not operate properly if the frame is not properly adjusted.
