Employment opportunities for hospitality managers are expected to remain steady over the next several years as increasing numbers of hotels are opened to meet the growing tourism demand.   The median annual salary for hospitality managers in May 2006 was $42,320.  The amount of the hospitality manager’s income is affected by the location of the lodging facility as well as the manager’s responsibilities.  In addition, a hospitality manager may also enjoy bonuses that can be up to 25% of their base salary and many also enjoy perks such as free parking, free meals, free use of laundry facilities, and free stays at hotels within the chain.  Many also receive educational assistance and participate in profit-sharing plans.
