Although plumbers are most often associated with installing appliances such has toilets, sinks, and bathtubs or with helping to unclog these appliances, plumbers may carry on other duties as well. For example, plumbers are also called upon to install pipe systems and to make repairs to pipes that have become damaged. They may also install and repair gas systems in commercial buildings or in homes as well as install and repair waste disposal systems, water systems, and drainage systems. In addition to installing bathtubs, sinks, and toilets, they also install other appliances such as water heaters and dishwashers as well.
