Tax Accountant Training and Education

In order to qualify for an entry level position as a tax accountant, you need to complete coursework through a junior college or through a correspondence school.  With this amount of training, however, you will need to work under a senior accountant and then can attempt to work your way up to a higher level position.

If you want to jump right into a career as a higher-level tax accountant, you will need to earn a bachelor’s degree in the field.  Even after earning a bachelor’s degree, however, you will likely need to work below a more experienced tax accountant until you have problem your knowledge and abilities in the field.
