CAREERS
Machinists create parts, or the tools to make parts, out of metal.  In the past, machine tools; milling machines, lathes and grinders, were used by hand to create machined parts.  Now, high tech machines, called CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machines, produce many of the parts and tools.  Machinists read blueprints and operate the software to create the finished product.
Though a skilled trade, machinists once had to use a lot of their own labor to perform their jobs.  Now, thanks to computer automation, this career is less hands-on and faces employee shortages.  If you want an interesting, high tech career, training to become a machinist could be a great choice.
Becoming a machinist can take several forms.  Some train in apprentice programs, informally on the job, or even high school shop class.

The major goal of a management consultant is to analyze and suggest ways to improve an organization's structure, capabilities and overall profits.

In 2002, management consulting experts held approximately 577,000 positions in the U.S. alone. As business becomes more complex, firms and organizations are continually facing new challenges within the industry. Firms largely rely on management consultants to help them remain competitive throughout these changes.
Employers generally search for management consultants who have a bachelor's degree with emphases in business or management.  Educational suggestions include courses in business, management, economics, accounting, marketing, computer and information sciences and engineering.
A marketing manager is responsible for developing the marketing strategy that will be put into place by a business or firm.
According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment opportunities for those interested in becoming a market manager are expected to grow faster than the average occupation.
In order to become a marketing manager, it is usually necessary to have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, though employers will often accept a bachelor’s degree from a number of different backgrounds.

Massage therapy uses touch in order to manipulate the soft body tissues to increase the health and well-being of each patient.  The major goal a massage therapist has is to help the body to heal itself.  This can happen by promoting blood flow, stimulating nerves, conditioning the skin and stretching and loosening up the muscles to keep them elastic.
