CAREERS
The increased growth of the Internet and web based technologies has restored the high demand for skilled professionals in the web design field.  If you're creative and technically proficient, a career in web design could be for you.
Web design, as we know it today, has been around for less than a decade, so there are many paths to creating a successful career in web design.

Although there are many types of professionals that work with websites in their creation and software programming, the Department of Labor defines web designers as responsible for day-to-day site design and creation, while webmasters are responsible for all technical aspects of a Web site, including performance issues such as speed of access, and for approving the content of the site.

A web site developer is responsible for designing and creating a web site layout.  The role of the web site developer is to determine ways to create a web site that is both attractive to the user and easy to navigate.
According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities for all providers within the Internet business, including the job of web site developer, are expected to grow faster than the average occupation.
Currently, there are very limited educational programs geared specifically toward becoming a web site developer.
A welder is primarily responsible for joining metal parts together.  In order to accomplish this task, the welder must apply heat to the metal pieces so they can be melted and fused together with a permanent bond.
Openings available to welders are expected to grow slower than the average occupation over the next several years
If you are only interested in acquiring an entry level position as a welder, you generally need to only complete a few weeks of schooling.

Like almost every industry, computers and automation are taking over many welding positions.  Robots now complete many standard and repetitive welds.  Today's modern welder not only performs specialized or complex welds, but they also run the machines that perform routine welding.
