Becoming a public relations manager may require either an associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration or public relations.  Educational courses including advertising, business administration, public affairs, public speaking, political science and creative and technical writing are very beneficial to the knowledge of a public relations manager.

Requirements for a purchasing management positions tend to vary in each industry. However, many require nothing more than training, certification or an associate's degree with a focus on business.
